Awards Given by the Motivation SIG
Paul Pintrich Memorial Award
  • At AERA 2004, Stuart Karabenick made a donation to establish a Paul Pintrich Memorial Graduate Student Travel Fund in recognition of the enormous contribution that Paul made to graduate student development. This fund allows us to allocate 1-3 cash prizes per year to students to help defray their travel expenses to AERA. The awards are given based on a competitive review process and are open to any student member of the SIG who is presenting as part of the SIG program.
SIG Graduate Student Presenter Travel Awards
  • In addition to the Paul Pintrich Memorial Award, every year, because of generosity from SIG members, we have been able to award all first-author student presenters in the SIG with travel support.
Please Donate to the SIG Award Funds
  • Both awards are made possible by the continuous generosity of Motivation SIG members. Please consider contributing to these important initiatives again for the 2010 Annual Meeting of the American Educational Research Association.

Please make your check out to AERA-Motivation SIG. In the "note section" on your check, indicate "travel fund". Checks can be sent to:
